The RV Shop Foreman is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining exceptional service quality, communication, coordination, and team management as well as assisting the Shop Manager and Service Manager in managing technician schedules and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Service Advisors to clarify work orders, ensuring customer expectations and job completion timelines are accurately documented.
  • Regularly liaise with the Service Manager and Shop Manager to assess shop capacity and strategize workload distribution.
  • Dispatch and manage RV Technician assignments, optimizing work distribution and overall workflow efficiency.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure efficient completion of work outsourced for customers.
  • Prioritize parts ordering, coordinating timely parts delivery to technicians in collaboration with the parts department.
  • Oversee repair work in accordance with repair orders, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Verify that assigned technician tasks are completed satisfactorily and documented properly.
  • Interact with warranty administrators to ensure adherence to warranty work requirements, including documentation and parts.
  • Ensure awareness of customer vehicles' location and keys, maintaining a clean and orderly shop area.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and hazardous waste disposal requirements.
  • Assist the Service Manager and Shop Manager in adjusting technician hours and pay rates as needed.
  • Manage technician schedules to determine availability and shop capacity.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors, adapting to changing circumstances, emergencies, or workload changes.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a shop manager in a motorized/premium service dealership.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of both RV house and chassis systems.
  • Strong communication and managerial skills, capable of leading a team effectively.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer background check, physical examination, and drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an indoor RV repair facility, occasionally outdoors for vehicle movement.
  • Regular interaction with service staff, customers, and management.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate operational needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and moving heavy equipment or parts.
  • Adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
