Summary
As Development Manager, you will support and help manage key phases of the development process for construction projects undertaken by the company. This includes overseeing site evaluation, entitlement coordination, design development, and construction support. You will act as a key liaison between internal departments, external consultants, and municipal authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

EDUCATION Minimum Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE Prior experience in real estate development or construction project management required, with a demonstrated track record of supporting or leading projects through acquisition, entitlement, and preconstruction phases.

- Serve as a key support and strategic partner to the Director of Development in executing all phases of the development process.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, including land contract review, entitlement strategy, environmental review, and utility coordination.
- Administer and manage consultant contracts, including negotiation, execution, and ongoing oversight of architect, engineering, and third-party service agreements.
- Oversee and maintain jurisdictional, municipal, and franchise submittals to ensure timely approvals and adherence to project schedules.
- Review, track, and approve consultant invoices and change orders; ensure budget alignment and proper documentation.
- Act as a liaison across internal departments - Development, Construction, Operations - and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Uphold and represent the company’s professional standards in all communications, presentations, and client or municipal interactions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and project reporting standards.
- Perform additional duties and support tasks as directed by the Director of Development or executive leadership.
- Deep knowledge of real estate development processes, including entitlements, permitting, and municipal coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of architectural, civil, and MEP plans, with the ability to evaluate technical drawings and consultant deliverables.
- Possess an understanding of the complete construction life-cycle, including predevelopment, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders, municipal officials, consultants, and contractors.
- Proficient in the use of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, project scheduling applications, Procore project management software.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and drive initiatives forward with minimal oversight.
