Job Description Summary
As GE Aerospace Asheville continues to grow, HR is a critical part of executing the startup, production scaling, and site growth strategy. The Asheville campus, consisting of two sites, includes a Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) facility that produces high-tech, more efficient components for the aircraft engines of tomorrow, and a Rotating Parts facility that manufactures traditional rotating parts to support GE’s commercial and military engines. In this role, you will support the Campus HR team and business as we grow, focusing on people development and process improvement. You will be a point of contact for managers and employees to provide support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support.

Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process prospective / new hire paperwork and related documentation
- Actively support the staffing and recruiting effort for the site by helping people leaders create and post jobs, review applications, and schedule interviews
- Manage all administrative aspects of the internal hourly job movement process
- Coordinate hourly interviews including identifying interviewers, scheduling, and printing applicable materials
- Archive HR paperwork following document retention guidelines
- Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding process and facilitate new hire orientation
- Act as the primary contact for employees, guiding them to relevant resources and information to resolve HR related inquiries
- Maintain interview selection material and ensure data is compliant and appropriate record keeping is maintained
- Assist with the planning and coordination of site activities designed to foster a strong team environment and enhance employee engagement
- Maintain holiday calendars for the site
- Assist with timecard management
- Manage administrative processes including probationary reviews
- Serve as resource for employees providing guidance on human resources policies and procedures
- Maintain electronic filing system (i.e., BOX): uploading and organizing/5S
- Assist with research for HR-related projects & initiatives
- Other duties as assigned by HR team
- Associated Degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
- High school diploma/ GED
- Minimum 3 years of administrative/ HR support or related experience
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality required
- Transparent: Shares critical information clearly, speaks with candor, contributes to communications constructively
- Focused: Quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed to providing support and following through on due dates and milestones
