Description

Job Title: Program Manager-Clinical Services

Reports To: Program Officer

  • Qualifications: A master’s degree in the field of human services is required, preferably in social work.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Supervisory experience in the Child Welfare Field is required along with field experience working with families with multiple problems, as well as clinical experience.

Position Summary: Within the framework of the agency’s mission, policies, procedures and resources, the Family Preservation Program Manager is responsible for assisting the Program Officer in ensuring that each contract program included in the Family Preservation Services Division is adequately monitored by Supervisors, and adhere with current Child Placing Agency Licensing Rules, Child Caring Institution Rules, contractual or grant obligations and/or any additional applicable accreditation standards. The Program Manager is also responsible for assisting in the development of agency policies, procedure and standards.

Requirements

Service Delivery:

  • Ensures delivery of home based services as required by Program contract. Provide ongoing supervision to assigned supervisors, including regularly scheduled individual conferences and performance evaluations. Ensure that program supervisors conduct regularly scheduled meetings to facilitate appropriate agency communication.
  • Provide direction and consultation to assigned supervisors concerning both hiring and disciplinary action, and hire and discipline staff directly as needed.
  • Participate in intra-or inter-agency meetings as assigned, to officially represent the agency’s position regarding service delivery.
  • Act as back up to assigned supervisors as needed to ensure required service delivery and adequate program coverage.
  • Proactively trouble-shoot and assist supervisors to problem solve service delivery problems and advocate administratively for problem resolution and/or change when needed.
  • Provide direction and consultation to assigned supervisors Concerning both hiring and disciplinary action, and hire and discipline staff directly as needed.
  • Professionally represents the agency with internal and external customers.

Administrative

  • Plan for and participate in conferences with supervisor, as Well as other required meetings.
  • Monitor program supervisor’s activities to ensure contract Compliance related to staff documentation of all case related and statistical activity in accordance and compliance with Child Placing Agency Licensing Rules, Child Caring Institution Rules, contractual or grant obligations or other agency standards.
  • Take a leadership role in Family Preservation program Planning and ensure individual program monitoring and implementation according to contract and budget requirements.
  • Assist in the development of relevant agency policies, procedures, program or job descriptions and other agency guidelines as assigned.

Other

  • Perform related tasks as assigned.
