Nature and Scope of Job
We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator/Privacy Assessment Contractor to support compliance and risk management activities related to Executive Order 14117 (DOJ Final Rule on bulk sensitive personal data) and broader privacy and business process assessments. Will work closely with privacy, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to evaluate systems, processes, and third-party engagements for alignment with privacy and data protection requirements.

Compensation
Salary/Hourly Rate Range (W2): USD 55.00 - 65.00
The base salary/hourly rate range represents the anticipated low and high end of the USDM’s compensation range for this position. Actual salaries/hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on market survey data or budget.
Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical care coverage.
Both full and part-time employees, who are at least 21 years of age, are eligible to participate in USDM's 401k plan. Full and part-time employees may be eligible for paid time off.

Nature and Scope of Job
We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator/Privacy Assessment Contractor to support compliance and risk management activities related to Executive Order 14117 (DOJ Final Rule on bulk sensitive personal data) and broader privacy and business process assessments. Will work closely with privacy, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to evaluate systems, processes, and third-party engagements for alignment with privacy and data protection requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy system assessments to identify collection, storage, processing, and transfer of data subject to DOJ 14117, including bulk sensitive personal and government-related data.
- Review business processes and workflows to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational privacy policies.
- Develop and maintain privacy assessment frameworks, questionnaires, and checklists for system and process reviews.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business owners to identify gaps, risks, and required remediation.
- Document findings and provide clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen privacy and compliance posture.
- Assist in creating and updating records of processing activities (ROPAs), data maps, and risk registers.
- Monitor and track remediation plans, ensuring timely closure of identified issues.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on privacy principles, including data minimization, purpose limitation, retention, and lawful transfer restrictions.
- Support training and awareness efforts related to DOJ 14117 obligations and general privacy best practices.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, information security, or risk management.
- Familiarity with Executive Order 14117 and related DOJ regulations (desired), or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, NIST Privacy Framework).
- Experience conducting system assessments, process audits, or third-party/vendor risk assessments.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Privacy or compliance certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CISA) preferred.
- System and process assessment reports with findings and remediation recommendations.
- Regular status updates to project leadership.
- Documentation of data flows and records of processing.
- Familiarity with OneTrust (not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
