Harriman's growing multi-disciplinary practice is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid) to join our team. With a holistic, ground-up approach to design, our engineering staff works closely with the firm’s integrated architecture groups to fulfill our mission to design relevant and innovative solutions to human needs. Our work is challenging, creative, and is based on the belief that design is a collaborative human endeavor centered on knowledge, ingenuity and beauty.
Duties And Responsibilities
A licensed engineer will be expected to act independently regarding engineering methods and calculations, applying sound and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a broad array of assignments. At level 1, a licensed engineer is expected to plan and conduct work including evaluation, selection, and design of mechanical equipment and components. They are expected to assess problems and answer technical questions independently in front of clients, including providing guidance to and review the work of unlicensed engineers and designers. They are also expected to perform project management duties on small projects.

Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience.
- Familiar with the principles of engineering, knowledge of advanced math, physics, and mechanical science applicable to the field.
- Undergrad Degree (4 years minimum) in Mechanical Engineering (other engineering degrees to be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Has passed the Professional Engineers exam.
- Able to complete small and medium sized projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with the tools required to achieve project completion (ie software, reference documents, calculations, and contacts).
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Load Calculation software, Trane Trace 700/3D
- Proficient with PDF Editing software such as Adobe or Bluebeam.
- Proficient with Newforma Project Center.
- Proficient with Deltek Vision.
- Capable of utilizing additional software as needed to perform complex calculations.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Zoom/Teams/Video Conferencing Software
