You are then provided the opportunity to enforce those requirements, tolerances, and standards, while providing manufacturing the guidance to meet customer requirements.
What am I responsible for?
- Reviews, reports, and catalogs Quality inspections within manufacturing, working with Production supervisors and employees to maintain compliance to sampling and quality procedures.
- Supporting Production through the inspection of materials while they are in the process of both being set up for production and being manufactured.
- Provides support in implementing quality control training to key personnel within the company.
- Ensures compliance with Bay Cities Quality Management System. Supports in the investigation of nonconformity reports, summarizing their findings, and validating implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Communicates approval or rejection of components, in accordance with both Bay Cities and specified customer procedures, specifications or special instructions.
- Participates in both internal and external audits (as needed).
- Performs other duties as required to support the Quality Management System.
What do I need to be successful?
- High School Diploma and equivalent to completion of two years quality control and corrugated manufacturing inspection experience, preferably supplemented by training in quality control, process development, and manufacturing requirements.
- Fluently bilingual in both English and Spanish is encouraged.
- You will be working within and around our manufacturing plant.
- You will be spending approximately 75% of your time on the Manufacturing and Distribution floor, 25% of time in an office performing administrative tasks.

- Physical and Environmental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, and sit in a noisy environment. The employee is occasionally required to travel by foot and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
- Work environment includes manufacturing and front office in California. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Personal protective equipment must be worn over the eyes, in the ears, on the feet, and over the abdomen at all times while traveling within the manufacturing facility.
- Pre-Employment Verifications: Must pass background and reference checks, drug screen, and physical examination prior to employment.
