Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Market Manager to lead and manage the overall performance of two bank locations. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for executing initiatives that drive customer growth, deepen client relationships, and achieve sales, service and operational goals. The Market Manager is a key leadership role that represents the bank within the local community in which the bank serves, continuingly building strong community relationships, and driving local market engagement.


Duties


Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, overseeing all aspects of account engagement and customer satisfaction.

Design and execute market-specific strategies to grow deposits, loans, and treasury management services, tailored to community needs and opportunities.

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, building lasting relationships through outreach and personalized service.

Represent the bank in local events and initiatives, driving customer acquisition and brand visibility through active community involvement.

Empower retail staff to deliver exceptional service and product expertise, reinforcing the bank’s competitive edge in relationship banking.

Promote and sell a full suite of bank products and services, leveraging customer interactions and community connections to generate referrals and new business.

Oversee retail staff across assigned branch locations, ensuring alignment with bank goals and service standards by leading, coaching, and developing staff to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and meet performance targets.

Continuously assess training and development needs of retail staff and ensure those needs are addressed effectively.

Foster a culture of relationship banking through ongoing customer contact, superior product knowledge, and exceptional service delivery.

Other duties may be assigned to ensure effective and efficient business operations.

Qualifications and Experience


To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight, leadership experience, and a passion for relationship banking.


Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Banking and a minimum of 5 years of retail financial experience; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in retail banking, including branch management.

Demonstrated success in leading teams across multiple locations with a focus on sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Proven ability to develop and execute local market strategies that drive measurable results.

Knowledge of consumer lending, deposit growth strategies and treasury management preferred.

Knowledge of related state and federal banking regulations and other Bank operational policies.

Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures along with Bank products and services offered.

Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to lead, manage and train employees.

Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence and speak clearly to customers and employees.

Thorough understanding of management procedures, including the ability to plan department or Bank activities including setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building rapport with customers.
