Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Technician to support our Pipeline and Terminals operations in the Fort Worth, TX area. This role requires a versatile technician with expertise in both mechanical and rotating equipment, as well as instrumentation, electrical, and control systems that are critical to operating refined products pipelines.

In addition, our technicians maintain and repair mechanical and rotating equipment for refined products’ pipelines. They will also handle additional tasks that support daily pipeline and terminal operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong computer skills, clear communication, and broad mechanical and electrical knowledge. This role includes a fully equipped company truck, tools, and uniforms

This role is based at the Fort Worth, TX, Terminal

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience with Mechanical/Electrical troubleshooting, including the ability to understand and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings and schematics / Or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience with industrial and electrical equipment such as motors, valves, actuators, meters, transmitters, and pumps
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time


Physical Requirements:

  • Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, handle, bend, twist, climb, and balance; to occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability and willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (for example: hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, respirator, safety work boots, etc. as required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds)
  • Is able to respond to audio alarms, or other loud noises that would indicate a safety concern
  • Must be able to communicate hazardous conditions and other dangers
  • Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts, work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and outdoor weather conditions, work in high, precarious places and work around fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Two (2) year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Instrumentation disciplines
  • Five (5) years or more of work experience working with industrial and mechanical/electrical equipment that may include (motors, valves, actuators, meters, transmitters, and pumps)
  • One (1) year or more of work experience maintaining multi-stage pumps, electrical starters, switch gear, and VFD’s from 480 VAC
  • One (1) year or more of work experience with pipeline measurement including proving, maintaining and troubleshooting flow meters
  • Experience testing voltages of 3-phase power up to 4160 volts
  • Ability to understand and apply the National Electrical Code
