SUMMARY:
Baskerville-Donovan, Inc. is currently seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our team in our Pensacola, FL office. This person must be proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D and capable of completing survey drawings start to finish, with hands-on experience working on a survey crew. This position includes a blend of office production and periodic field work, as well as opportunities to process LiDAR data collected from UAV and terrestrial 3D scanning platforms.

BDI provides planning, surveying, engineering and design, and construction phase services for infrastructure projects in the United States. The company offers water resources engineering services, including wastewater treatment and collection systems design, water supply and treatment systems design, water distribution systems design and permitting, pipeline design, pump station design and rehabilitation, feasibility studies and planning, construction administration, and environmental permitting. It also provides transportation engineering services, including transportation planning, highway engineering, airfield design, traffic engineering, highway lighting, surveying and mapping, bridge design, storm water design, environmental permitting, real property support, construction administration, and public involvement. In addition, the company offers civil engineering, land surveying and mapping, and funding assistance services.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed survey designs with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Perform public records research (deeds, plats, maps, data sheets, etc.)
- Collaborate daily with field personnel to acquire notes, review data, and monitor progress.
- Participate in periodic field work to support survey crews and strengthen office-to-field integration.

- Maintainaccurate records and documentation in software systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D.
- Prior experience working on a survey crew preferred.
- Experience processing LiDAR datasets (UAV and terrestrial 3D scanners).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and other office software.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in writing and reading legal descriptions.
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
