Position Summary
The HRIS Analyst II is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role focuses on reporting, analytics, and system integrations, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Python to deliver data-driven insights that enhance HR decision-making and overall business strategy. The Analyst will collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to ensure HR data accuracy, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.

The HRIS Analyst II is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role focuses on reporting, analytics, and system integrations, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Python to deliver data-driven insights that enhance HR decision-making and overall business strategy. The Analyst will collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to ensure HR data accuracy, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, support, and enhance the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights on HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, DE&I, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Use Python for advanced data analysis, automation, and integrations between HRIS and other business systems.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and business leaders to analyze requirements, design solutions, and provide accurate and timely reports.
- Lead data audits, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure HR data accuracy across systems.
- Support HRIS upgrades, enhancements, and system implementations, including testing and documentation.
- Provide end-user training, system documentation, and support HR technology adoption.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to manage system integrations and resolve technical issues.
- Stay current on HRIS best practices, HR compliance requirements, and emerging technologies to recommend process improvements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of HRIS, HR technology, or HR analytics experience, preferably in a mid-to-large size organization.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, report automation).
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, reporting automation, and API integrations.
- Experience with HRIS platforms would be a plus (ADP, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
- Solid understanding of HR processes would be a plus (Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance, and Compliance).
- Advanced data analysis and visualization skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SQL or other database query tools.
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.
- Exposure to cloud-based HR systems (Workday, SuccessFactors, or UKG).
- Knowledge of HR compliance reporting (EEO, ACA, etc.).
