About The Role
In this position, you’ll play a key part in driving data-informed decision-making across Salt & Straw’s supply chain. This role is responsible for building practical tools and insights that improve forecasting accuracy, production scheduling, inventory management, and distribution performance in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter energized by creating analytical foundations where data infrastructure is still developing. They are comfortable working with inconsistent or incomplete data, proactively cleaning and structuring it to extract meaningful insights and drive continuous improvement. Strong technical skills are essential, along with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams and senior leaders. This position also leads efforts to strengthen data integrity by identifying upstream issues, fostering accountability, and embedding better data practices across the organization.

About The Role

This position also leads efforts to strengthen data integrity by identifying upstream issues, fostering accountability, and embedding better data practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain forecasting and inventory models that support production scheduling, demand planning, and distribution efficiency in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to monitor and visualize key supply chain KPIs (service levels, waste, and fill rates)
- Translate operational data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve visibility, decision-making, and performance across the supply chain
- Support the internal SIOP process by developing predictive models and scenario plans that align sales, production, and operations
- Partner with production, distribution, and shop teams to ensure insights from models and dashboards directly inform day-to-day execution
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by automating manual reports, simplifying workflows, and embedding sustainable analytics practices
- Collaborate with IT and data partners to strengthen ERP systems and data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency in decision-making tools
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leaders, tailoring technical content to business audiences
- Lead and manage projects from concept through execution, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder alignment are achieved
- Mentor team members and help elevate analytical capabilities across the supply chain organization
- 4+ years of applied supply chain analytics or planning experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (food & beverage strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience building forecasting, inventory, or production models that directly support business decisions
- Strong working knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, and S&OP processes
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); advanced Excel skills required
- Ability to clean, structure, and analyze operational datasets from ERP and supply chain systems (SQL a plus, but not required)
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and communicate insights clearly to both shop/operations teams and senior leadership
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Collaborative and curious mindset, with a track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships
