Internship Summary
The Maintenance Intern will work closely with the KPAC Maintenance Engineer to support preventive maintenance planning, spare parts management, and reliability programs. This role involves hands-on experience with GSAP for daily maintenance tracking, participation in routine and corrective maintenance activities, and involvement in project and job scheduling. The intern will also assist with oil and vibration analysis monitoring and contribute to small special projects as needed. This position offers valuable exposure to industrial maintenance operations and engineering practices in a dynamic plant environment.
The paid internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2026 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.
The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.
Housing will not be provided for the internship

Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the KPAC Maintenance Engineer to support daily operations and project execution
- Assist in the creation and optimization of Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs
- Help develop and manage a stock spare parts program, including ordering and inventory tracking
- Monitor and support oil and vibration analysis programs to ensure equipment reliability
- Engage in frequent interaction with GSAP for maintenance tracking and documentation
- Participate in routine and corrective maintenance activities alongside trained personnel
- Contribute to small special projects assigned by the maintenance team
- Assist in scheduling and planning of maintenance jobs and projects
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
- Completed at least two years of college education before beginning the internship, with at least three engineering classes completed.
- Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

- Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
