Position Description

As an Electrical Engineer or Designer you will work with Project Managers in developing energy efficient, sustainable, and reliable engineering system concepts for all types of projects. This role also requires a demonstrated capability to conduct analyses of existing systems for developing successful engineering solutions to a variety of design conditions. Electrical Engineers often meet with clients for consultation to determine needs, wants, and budgets, or to determine functional requirements of new or renovated systems. This is used to prepare information regarding design, specifications, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. Field investigations, including the most complex engineering system problems, are led, or directly supervised by this role.

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 annually.

Primary Qualifications**

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience: 15 years of job-related experience or more
  • Licenses or Certifications: Professional Engineering License preferred
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and AGI software's
  • Core Knowledge: Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as Electrical Engineering design skills in the Architectural Engineering field
  • A desire to expand the technical expertise of our team

Position Responsibilities***

  • Lead project interviews for specific projects and possess a skill set to prepare fee proposals and negotiate contracts
  • Assist in business development, identifying and developing market opportunities and participating in project interviews for firm wide projects
  • Act as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, including making technical decisions in the respective field, reviewing, stamping and signing Construction Documents
  • Schedule project and related workloads and represent Cushing Terrell in project meetings and assist in strategy meetings
  • Check drawings and prepare feedback to project team
  • Direct activities of workers and consultants engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (billing, fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with client
  • Be responsible for executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving Issues
  • Provide leadership, communications, training, mentorship, continuous assignments, and feedback to team members
  • Be a resource/advisor for continuing education topics/needs
  • Take an active role in professional development

  • Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

  • The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
