Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our accounting team in advancing our mission to promote the interests and welfare of Texas A&M University through dedicated support that ensures the highest quality of integrity for our accounting system and processes.

Essential Functions Of The Role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required: Expert in GAAP compliance. High proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word. Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred: Non-profit experience.
Physical Capacity Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion and carry objects up to 10 pounds. Ability to work at a desk with frequent use of keyboard and monitor. EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.

Essential Functions Of The Role
- Advanced accounting knowledge, including compliance with GAAP and financial reporting.
- Expertise in advanced accounting problem solving, financial processes and budgeting.
- Meet deadlines.
- Confidentiality.
- Conduct timely month-end closing.
- Analyze information from various sources on a variety of specialized accounting topics.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and daily cash receipts to bank deposits.
- Reconcile cash receipts to gift entry, and post gift entries to the GL.
- Enter journal entries to record transactions.
- Provide summaries, reports and recommendations when necessary.
- Prepare and distribute ad-hoc reports.
- Prepare, review and distribute quarterly fund statements.
- Prepare annual reports as required by various regulatory agencies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new or revised accounting programs, systems, procedures, and methods of operation.
- Participate in internal or external audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.
