We're seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Director of Sales and Marketing to produce results for our Northeast portfolio. You'll work closely with golf course General Managers (GM’s) and the sales and marketing team to bring campaigns to life through social, digital, print, and more.

General Purpose:

This individual oversees facility sales & marketing strategies and personnel by leveraging industry best practices, current trends in the marketplace and corporate marketing programs. The goals of these efforts are to grow revenue, rounds and awareness for Troon facilities and the company. This candidate will utilize Troon’s robust reporting and analytical tools to ensure all marketing, sales, revenue strategies and programs are well-planned and executed.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the sales and marketing strategy and campaign execution for multiple client accounts
  • Manages marketing support personnel and establish priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Implements corporate sales & marketing strategies, policies and procedures, including compliance of company standards relating to quality of sales programs and services
  • Creates sales & marketing plans, budgets and strategies, along with onsite teams
  • Delivers compelling presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Capable of managing process change and new product launch
  • Oversees the management and implementation of corporate programs, including but not limited to the following: Troon Rewards, Troon Access, Troon Advantage, Troon Privé Privileges, Troon Connect, Troon Golf Vacations, Troon Gift Cards, Play Troon Programs and more
  • Supports the creation and management of individual facility SEO and SEM campaigns
  • Provides oversight assistance with the creation and management of facility websites
  • Assists with drafting, editing & distributing press releases and public relations campaigns
  • Provides social media strategy, education, training and direction
  • Executes and measures digital marketing strategies, with an emphasis on results
  • Implements and maintains excellent service standards to achieve positive NPS and guest satisfaction
  • Supports the hiring, management and creation of incentive plans for facility sales managers
  • Analyzes and reports on business and sales metrics
  • Partners with and directly works on a diverse team
  • This position requires approximately 30% travel

Preferences for Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or five years related and accomplished experience
  • Proven success in the field of sales and marketing, working with varied levels of key stakeholders
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal skills, is detail oriented, and utilizes exceptional time management expertise in managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information in order to recommend the appropriate best practices, and/or develop new practices and approaches
  • Ability to compose contemporary sales and marketing presentations that effectively and efficiently communicate approach, progress, results, value, and next steps
  • Proven working knowledge of social media, website development, graphic design, video production, and photography, and be an early adapter of technology
  • Ability to excel while working independently with little supervision and with a team
  • Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications and online creative platforms
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications desired
