Position Summary
The Director of Logistics & Warehousing drives DeliverIt Pharmacy’s domestic and international mission by optimizing COLD chain and temperature-controlled shipments, warehousing, transportation, and distribution strategies. This leader ensures supply chain precision, e?ciency, and compliance, enabling the delivery of a?ordable, life-changing medications worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Logistics and Warehousing is responsible for leading and executing the strategic model for warehousing and distribution, ensuring seamless order ful?llment, internal stock transfers, and just-in-time production. This role involves implementing e?ective processes that maintain robust inventory control and accuracy. Effective order tracking and monitoring are essential for managing multiple projects or consolidations to various countries, with different temperature requirements simultaneously. A high level of organization is necessary to ensure items that are NOT cross-shipped or mis-shipped are not cross-shipped or mis-shipped to other locations, which will result in a total loss, as there is usually no way to return them.
Requirements
Key responsibilities include overseeing the management of carriers and facilitating both domestic and international transportation, both refrigerated/climate-controlled or non-refrigerated. The Director will align internal resources to streamline the movement of goods and negotiate cost-e?cient contracts for various transportation modes, including full truckload, less-than-truckload, and parcel shipments, which may involve refrigerated and non-refrigerated medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
Additionally, this position requires establishing internal processes and forming partnerships with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliant import and export operations for raw materials, components, and ?nished goods. The Director will also develop and monitor key performance indicators to enhance quality, inventory accuracy, cost management, and the e?cient movement and storage of goods across the network.
To achieve best-in-class logistics and warehousing performance at DeliverIt Pharmacy, the Director will
design and implement enterprise-wide strategies for transportation, storage, and distribution.
While performing these responsibilities, the employee must communicate e?ectively with team members, client contacts, and courier representatives at all levels. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working outside standard business hours to support international business needs, which can include occasional international travel.
Knowledge and Skills
Advanced working knowledge of mitigating carrier, distribution, and inventory risks, optimizing value chain processes, and delivering clear communication, with advanced pro?ciency in Microsoft O?ce (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in challenging environments while providing strong leadership, mentoring, and fostering a culture of employee growth and development is required. Key Competencies

Experience and Quali?cations
Minimum of 8 years of cross-functional distribution and transportation environments, with exposure to warehousing, inventory control, import/export, carrier management, and contract negotiations required. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related ?eld, or the life sciences is preferred, NOT required.
Certi?ed Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive e?ciency, solve problems, and enhance
decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all work?ows.
