How Your Role Fits Into Boldt

As a member of the Boldt Human Resources team and in support of Boldt’s values, virtues and high-performance culture, you will partner with the Human Resources Team, enterprise and The Boldt Group company’s leadership to influence and carry out the creation of Boldt’s talent philosophy and strategy development that builds our talent pipeline. You will champion the Talent Development Vision. You will lead talent and leadership development, organizational career planning, and performance management. You will identify enterprise learning and development needs. You will oversee administration of the performance review process. This role is responsible for the systems and programs that support craft and non-craft roles.

What You Get To Do

  • Lead Boldt’s talent development and learning teams and be accountable for design, development delivery, and acquisition of third-party education solutions of learning and talent development solutions for non-craft and craft professionals across The Boldt Group.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Human Resource Officer and Boldt senior leadership teams, collectively set and execute the organization's current and long-term vision for talent development, consistently improving our effectiveness and helping us achieve our overall organizational goals. Lead and develop our foundational talent development processes of performance management, talent development, and leadership development to drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Build proven relationships with our operations groups and corporate departments to facilitate a shift toward a purposeful development of talent across the organization.  
  • Aid senior leadership in shaping a talent philosophy by instilling a focus on a high-performance culture incorporated into organizational priorities and critical discussions, such as business unit strategies, new initiatives, and future priorities to ensure we are addressing the required capabilities of the future and development of talent to meet those needs.  
  • Design and implement new leadership programs to accelerate development of high potential employees at senior and mid-career levels, and to improve the pipeline of robust professional talent.  
  • Provide thought leadership around leadership and management best practices, facilitating leadership and management programs and content as needed.
  • Design and execute Boldt’s performance management system, including employee performance evaluations and coaching feedback conversations to help drive employee productivity and development.   
  • Coach high potential and emerging talent employees through development plans, assessments, and other coaching tools.  
  • Apply and analyze metrics around talent, employee experience and exit interviews to shape future and current strategies.  
  • Help establish what we value and ensure that all decisions, programs, and processes are aligned with our philosophies and virtues.
  • Oversee the establishment of the annual calendar of training curriculum.  
  • Support regular review and analysis of standard methodologies relating to talent development by keeping up to date with current trends and thinking. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with peers and partners in key organizations and companies.
  • Oversee Boldt’s LMS system and architecture, and online learning presence, ensuring our systems stay up to date and are meeting the learning needs of the organization.
  • Oversee Boldt’s curriculum development and design philosophy and process, ensuring that our curriculum is professionally presented and meets established standards.
  • Recommend and manage annual budgets for Boldt’s learning programs and learning needs.

What We Expect From You

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required, master’s degree preferred.  
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in talent leadership, corporate education, deep knowledge and experience in talent development, leading organizational change, and change management.
  • Certifications in behavioral and/or psychological assessments such as MBTI, Birkman, Hogan or others; and in Change Management is required.  
  • Knowledge of and/or certification in competency modeling (such as Korn Ferry) required.
  • SHRM-CP or SCP preferred.
  • Expertise in leadership development plans.
  • Experience leading multiple, large-scale projects and priorities.  
  • Understand business needs and priorities and have the ability to translate these into practical people solutions.  
  • MS Office 365 working knowledge.
  • Travel needs vary and is generally related to development opportunities and travel to other locations. Travel is generally less than 20%.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

The working condition of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $134,750 - $181,483 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Appleton, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
