Work Environment: Primarily remote, with possible on-site work at NJ WRIISC/AHBPCE as needed

Status: Contingent Upon Contract Award

Knowesis is currently seeking a Clinical Trials Administrator (Level 4) to support clinical research and education programs at the VHA Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits Center of Excellence (AHBPCE). This position provides high-level support for the development, coordination, and execution of clinical research and education projects, helping to advance care for Veterans with exposure-related health concerns.

The Senior Clinical Research Administrator serves as an expert resource for study design, protocol management, and project execution. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with researchers, program directors, and stakeholders.

To be eligible, candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and nine (9) years of professional experience in clinical research administration or a related field. Applicants must also pass a background check and VA onboarding procedures to gain access to VA systems.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Proactively identify funding and support opportunities for clinical research and education initiatives.
  • Track opportunities and maintain timely correspondence with stakeholders.
  • Assist researchers in developing proposals, protocols, and project materials for sponsor submission.
  • Coordinate communication with sponsors and collaborators.
  • Plan and participate in site feasibility activities to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with researchers, directors, and staff to develop study protocols, project management tools, and staffing plans.
  • Support program operations by coordinating among stakeholders and monitoring progress.
  • Organize and attend meetings with researchers, program directors, staff, sponsors, and collaborators.
  • Prepare meeting materials, maintain notes, and track action items to ensure follow-up.
  • Serve as a key liaison between leadership and research teams, ensuring smooth execution of program goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on program operations, compliance, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience in clinical research administration or a related field
  • Deep understanding of clinical research operations, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Favorable background check
