The Bowling Green Veterans Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
The Administrative Specialist Senior position is responsible for providing professional administrative support to the Bowling Green Veterans Center’s Administrator and administrative staff.
Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Planning, organizing and executing administrative functions for the Administrator, Assistant Administrator and administrative staff.
- Provides guidance related to policy interpretation to employees and public.
- Oversees and coordinates special programs and researches projects in support of total facility operations.
- Communicates frequently with staff, residents, and visitors to disseminate instructions and information
- Performs other duties as assigned.
