The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Culinary Supervisor to support the daily kitchen operations at Viola & Dot’s, our vibrant fast-casual Latin-inspired dining outlet.

This role is ideal for a working culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values consistency, and enjoys leading by example.

As Culinary Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining food quality, safety, and service flow while supporting the Sr. Multi-Unit Outlet Chef & Multi-Unit Outlet Chef in overseeing a small, efficient kitchen team. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends culinary execution with team coordination, ideal for individuals seeking a stable, growth-oriented opportunity in a dynamic kitchen setting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead daily food preparation and service, ensuring consistency in quality, portioning, and
  • presentation.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during shifts, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Train team members on proper food handling, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with scheduling and shift coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution.
  • Support the execution of seasonal menu items, specials, and promotional offerings.
  • Foster a positive kitchen culture built on teamwork, accountability, and pride in product.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is a strong plus and highly valued in this role

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-energy kitchen environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills And Abilities

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of culinary experience in a high-volume or fast-casual kitchen environment.
  • Pizza preparation experience 1-3 years
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a hands-on setting.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
