Description:
Carpenters perform a wide variety of carpentry work such as installing subfloors, temporary enclosures, partitions, studs, joints, drywall, door frames, backing and blocking. Interior work may include installation of toilet accessories, millwork, custom cabinetry, stairs, railings, trims, molding, doors, and hardware. Carpenters perform exterior and interior finish work. This position directly reports to the Foreman or Superintendent.

This position directly reports to the Foreman or Superintendent.

- Perform daily tasks as outlined by Superintendent or Foreman.
- Layout and calculate material requirements for daily tasks.
- Daily clean-up of work areas.
- Track and turn in all job-related receipts to project superintendent on-time (and/or track and accurately code all company credit card receipts monthly).
- Accurately track time and tasks performed on each project.
- Accurately complete and sign timecards by 5:00 pm on Saturday.
- Complete OSHA 10 within the first 90 days of employment.
- Attend weekly toolbox talks on jobsites.
- Attend monthly staff meeting at 3:30PM on Thursdays.
- All other duties as assigned.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years experience working as a carpenter on commercial construction projects or related field.
- Must have a current and valid United States Driver’s License.
- Must have competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine layout and calculate material requirements.
- Must have working knowledge of safe operation with hand and power tools.

- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

FIELD:
- While performing the duties of this job, this position regularly works outdoors in various weather conditions. The team member frequently works near moving equipment, occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
