The Director of Sales - Private Label, is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for private label kitchenware programs, primarily cookware. This role oversees national sales efforts across retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the kitchenware market, strong retailer relationships, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage, create, and oversee all aspects of customer-focused sales strategies for Private Label accounts to achieve revenue goals, profitability and maximized sales growth
- Develop strategic plans for increased Private Label business within cookware and sourced categories inclusive of enhanced SKU and fabrication placement to drive sales and revenue.
- Partner with MMC and MTC to create new product launches that are financially sound for
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a primary point of
- Perform timely visits to retail customers to discuss business and sales opportunities / concerns and outline areas of
- Have a strong cookware knowledge base to help educate and provide specification recommendations that meet retailer’s product goals.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data to identify trends, and adjust strategies to improve customer retention and drive sales growth.
- Oversee account forecasting and planning to ensure proper inventory levels and turns are Make appropriate suggestions on material needs to meet retailer requested ETDs.
- Manage both internal and external timelines for successful product
- Establish, implement and oversee the strategic plans to address challenging, complex and changing
- Follow and understand new trends or technologies in the industry and coordinate with cookware factory on new processes and technology improvements.
- Interface with the quality assurance teams from both customers and Meyer to ensure finished product meets or exceeds customer standards.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by Sr Director of Private Label
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business or related
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a related
- Requires 5 years of working knowledge of the housewares
- Requires prior experience in retail analysis, product and
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of retail
- Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail
- Must possess a high degree of integrity, credibility, sense of urgency and common
- Must possess strong negotiating
- Must possess superior decision-making capacity and ability to exercise good
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to give oral
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written
- Requires domestic and occasional oversees travel for retailer
- Must possess mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job
$140k to $160k, DOE
