Cosentino's Price Chopper is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This role requires a leader with a strong background in sales, customer service, and operations. The Assistant Store Manager will be instrumental in driving sales growth, managing store operations, and fostering a positive customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficient and effective execution of all processes.
  • Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Implement and monitor sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
  • Manage inventory and merchandising, ensuring product availability and appealing displays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and building customer relationships.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future sales and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Effectively manage and control store expenses, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with customers and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on planning and implementing marketing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to manage store operations, including inventory control and merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and selling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Experience in sales management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with business-to-business sales.
  • Experience with sales prospecting.
  • Experience with negotiation.
