Major Responsibilities
- Assist PCC leadership with day to day operation to ensure high quality and cost effective patient care
- Practices the principles of Performance Improvement in order to contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Participates with PCC leadership to provide positive work environment for staff in terms of growth and development and job satisfaction
- Responsible for personal/professional growth and development
- Nurse, Registered (RN)
- Bachelors degree in nursing required
- 5 years experience in emergency medicine.
- ED specific leadership experience – coordinator, charge RN, committee involvement in an ED setting
- Certifications (preferred but have within first year)
- Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN)
- TNS – Trauma nurse specialist (preferred but expect to obtain within first year)
- ECRN – Emergency Communication Radio Nurse
- CEN – Certified Emergency Nurse
- Ability to assume charge/schedule coordinator role Ability to communicate effectively and work cohesively with a diverse work group
- Skills specific to each units specialty
- CPR Illinois Licensed Professional Registered Nurse Certification relative to specialty area. Obtain and/or maintain PALS
