We are seeking a Laboratory Technician Intern for the Electrical Engineering group in our Broomfield, CO location.
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and have a desire to work in a laboratory environment. Electronic assembly builds, cable builds, soldering, and PCB assembly and troubleshooting will be the primary focus for this role.

Estimated Total Wage: example: $27/Hr - $30/Hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with engineers and physicists to assist in installation of new hardware
- Perform PCB soldering & assembly and cable builds
- Assemble enclosures and other mechanical features with electronic components.
- Verification of components, cables, subassemblies and microelectronic assemblies
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and rework to assure completion of assemblies
- Actively pursuing an associate degree
- Graduating on or after 2026
- Interest in working in a rapid prototyping environment and willingness to learn new technical areas and skills
- Knowledge of building/maintaining electronic systems, including soldering skills
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- Prior experience, especially working in a laboratory environment
- RF, digital and analog troubleshooting skills and familiarity with test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, etc.
- Experience with data collection and analysis using standard laboratory test equipment and mathematical software.
- Ability to work from assembly drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches and other written, visual, and oral instructions.
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming (e.g., python, C++)
- Demonstrated experience with 3D printers to make rapid prototypes.
- Self-Starter willing to learn and apply new SW and HW skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- For candidates located outside of this state, this role will include a housing stipend of up to $1000/month
