Summary: Assemble sub-assemblies. Build, adjust, inspect and troubleshoot packaging and processing equipment such as chamber machines, GP3s, rollstock, tray sealers and labelers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is infrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In the summertime the ambient temperature can be hot.

Summary: Assemble sub-assemblies. Build, adjust, inspect and troubleshoot packaging and processing equipment such as chamber machines, GP3s, rollstock, tray sealers and labelers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and build quality sub-assembly parts for packaging and processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and test functional performance of sub-assemblies (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic) and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.
- Operate and test machinery for shipment to customers.
- Report problems regarding quality, process, equipment and material to the production manager.
- Confer with engineers, technicians, production colleagues and others to resolve any problems.
- Perform and execute quality workmanship on sub-assembly and overall work area.
- At least two (2) year's experience in building mechanical or electrical machines.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to assemble, test and troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical problems.

- Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas.
