Cass Human Service Zone - Fargo, ND - Transporter
Normal working hours for the Transporter position is between 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday - Friday.
The Transporter position at Cass Human Service Zone provides transportation assistance to the clients and families served by our Family Services team.
Transporter - Example of Duties
To succeed in this position, you should be organized, adaptable, and able to manage shifting schedules with ease. Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
The ideal candidate will remain calm and professional, even in stressful driving situations, and maintain a polite, respectful demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to document activities, observations, and share important information with Family Service Team Members to ensure seamless service and support.

- Transporting children (newborn to teens) to school, appointments, and visits with family.
- Identifying and installing appropriate car seats to ensure safe transport of children.
- Lifting children in and out of vehicles and properly securing them into car seats.
- Navigating area roads and neighborhoods in all weather conditions.
- Observing and documenting interactions between children and adults.
- Communicating maintenance needs for assigned Zone vehicle.
