POSITION PURPOSE
This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Energy Markets division. It is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, and Accounting. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.
Essential Duties
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.

Essential Duties
- Perform quantitative and market analysis to identify risks and opportunities in teh markets in which Basin operates.
- Analyze portfolio results.
- Assist with the development of data-driven hedging strategies.
- Monitor market trends.
- Attend and participate in team meetings or training opportunities.
- Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, or Accounting program with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
- Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
