About This Role
As an Accounting Coordinator at UHSM, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting overall financial management. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function and supporting the financial health of the organization.

About This Role
As an Accounting Coordinator at UHSM, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting overall financial management. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable function and supporting the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify invoices and check requests, ensuring proper authorization and coding.
- Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date .
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciling accounts.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
- Support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work in our Orange, CA office location.
- Experience working in the healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to accounts payable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle transactions efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
