As an MEP Engineer, you will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP systems across a variety of construction projects. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and clients to ensure that all systems are integrated efficiently and meet code, budget, and quality standards.

Our client is a fast-growing construction contracting firm based in Queens, NY, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems as well as Exterior Construction services for residential and commercial projects. With a reputation for delivering high-quality work on time and on budget, we are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Description

As MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Design, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for new and existing construction projects

  • Work closely with in-house teams and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of MEP designs

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes

  • Provide technical support and resolve MEP-related issues during design and construction phases

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and procurement plans for MEP components

  • Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals

  • Ensure all work complies with NYC building codes, DOB regulations, and safety standards

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field)

  • 3+ years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably within the NYC construction industry

  • Strong understanding of local codes and building regulations (DOB, FDNY, DEP, etc.)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills

  • PE license is a plus, but not required
