Echandia Marine US, LLC, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Director to spearhead sales and business development across the Eastern United States and Canada. This executive role combines strategic leadership, direct customer engagement, and market development to accelerate adoption of Company’s advanced electrification and battery systems.
The ideal candidate will have deep industry expertise, a proven sales track record, and the ability to position Echandia as the trusted partner for sustainable maritime solutions.
The role requires residence in the Eastern half of the United States to ensure proximity to key customers and markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the U.S. market, aligned with Echandia’s overall business objectives.
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue business opportunities with shipowners, naval architects, shipyards, and other maritime customers.
- Lead negotiations and close high-value contracts, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
- Set and achieve annual sales targets for revenue, market share, and customer acquisition.
- Customer Engagement and Development
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including shipowners, naval architects, operators, and regulators.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their operational needs and aligning them with Echandia’s product offerings.
- Represent Echandia at high-level meetings, industry events, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Collaborate to align Company solutions with evolving safety, compliance, and certification requirements.
- Gather and address customer feedback to refine solutions and services.
- Market Insights and Growth
- Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activities in the maritime sector.
- Identify emerging opportunities in maritime electrification and position Echandia as a leader in sustainable energy solutions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team based on market insights and customer needs.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with Echandia’s global sales, engineering, and product teams to deliver tailored solutions to the U.S. market.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns and materials that resonate with the target audience.
- Mentor and support sales staff as needed, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Reporting and Accountability
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the leadership team, outlining progress, challenges, and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the maritime, defense, or energy sectors.
- Residence in the Eastern half of the United States (East Coast or Central U.S.) is required.
- Existing network with U.S. shipowners, shipyards, or naval architects strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value contracts with shipowners, naval architects, and maritime customers.
- Deep understanding of the maritime industry, including trends in sustainability, electrification, and regulatory changes.
- Experience working with or selling to shipyards and design firms is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.
- Visionary and strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing decision-makers at all levels.
