Job Function/Purpose:
The CAD Designer works with sales and technical staff to interpret project specifications and drawings to determine system layout and develop installation drawings for a successful project. Responsible for design and layout of low voltage systems, including but not limited to physical security systems, intercom, nurse call, paging and/or A/V systems. The Designer will utilize system knowledge, design tools (AutoCAD) and available resources to assist in system design tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge:
- Intermediate to advanced skill level for the latest version of 2D AutoCAD is necessary for this position.
- Demonstrated experience with design of low voltage electronic systems is required.
- Technical design experience in security systems is required.
- Must know Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Experience in low voltage systems such as Access Control, Video Surveillance, Nurse Call, Public Address and AV is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and implement multiple jobs allowing for the successful completion of each project by a specific due date
- Strong team player with the ability to utilize resources to help complete projects in a timely manner.
- Education:
- CAD certificate or training with applicable experience or equivalent CAD job-experience
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in a professional construction/ design environment using CAD
- Enough experience to react professionally to unexpected changes
