East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing, a 117-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of our facility’s maintenance and safety operations. This leadership role is perfect for a hands-on professional with proven management skills, strong technical expertise, and a passion for creating a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Direct and manage the daily operations of the Maintenance Department
- Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff to ensure effective performance
- Oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and safety inspection programs
- Manage and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and life safety systems
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local building codes, health regulations, and OSHA standards
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized services
- Oversee emergency preparedness and ensure staff are trained on response procedures
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and equipment inventory
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate timely resolutions
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance or facility management (healthcare/skilled nursing strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop a team
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on safety and compliance
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across departments
- Availability for occasional evening/weekend emergencies as required
