Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Unrivaled Teamwear and its portfolio of brands, including Champion Teamwear, Gear for Sports, Knights Apparel, and Under Armour Destination. This position will be responsible for general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and business units.

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Unrivaled Teamwear and its portfolio of brands, including Champion Teamwear, Gear for Sports, Knights Apparel, and Under Armour Destination. This position will be responsible for general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and business units.
Duties
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Perform and review monthly journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger accounts.
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in preparation of internal and external financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Partner with Finance Manager and business leaders to support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and SOX requirements (if applicable).
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency across multiple business units.
- Participate in system implementations or enhancements as needed.
- Act as a liaison between Finance and other departments (Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.).
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for special projects or strategic initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate accounting).
- Experience in apparel, consumer goods, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings to leadership.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
