Position Summary

We are seeking a Plant Manager with at least five years of experience, preferably working in an automotive supplier manufacturing environment. The candidate must be a self-starter, proactively identifying and correcting inefficiencies in the production process. Must be highly organized, ambitious, attentive to detail, proactive, and high-performing under pressure. This position averages 45 hours a week and is considered a 1st Shift position.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • An Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Bachelor degree in Management, Business or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of manufacturing management experience is highly preferred.

  • Must have prior continuous improvement experience.
  • Ability to multi-task work effectively under pressure and problem-solve.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Office .
  • 45-hour week minimum
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Prior project continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office programs and Outlook).
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and problem-solve.

  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and production constraints

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of Supervisory Staff members and heads of departments
  • Oversee the detailed production schedules to ensure demand is met
  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in processes, materials, equipment and skills
  • Responsible for the training and development of team members
  • Collaborate with other members of management to develop and execute budgets
  • Coordinate activities in and among departments with other members of management
  • Monitor production progress and proactively address issues
  • Collaborate with EHS Manager to develop and implement procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment
  • Communicate with production scheduling, purchasing and sales to ensure proper order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with production scheduling, analyzing orders and forecasts, overseeing schedules to demand changes, availability of material or any machinery stoppage
  • Perform other duties as assigned
