We are urgently hiring a detail-oriented and organized Behavioral Health Collections Specialist to join our growing team.

We are urgently hiring a detail-oriented and organized Behavioral Health Collections Specialist to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Manage medical collections with a focus on behavioral health.
- Handle billing and collections for major 3rd party insurance plans (Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Florida Blue, etc.).
- Conduct outbound calls and verify claim statuses online.
- Accurately document call notes and maintain records.
- Work denials efficiently using available tools to obtain payment.
- Collaborate with coworkers to resolve claim issues.
- Navigate EMR and billing software systems.
- Apply knowledge of coding, CPT codes, and the revenue cycle to support accurate claim resolution.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and protect patient data.
- Assist with charge entry as needed.
- Minimum 1 year of medical collections experience (behavioral health preferred).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- General knowledge of Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with insurance denials and resolution processes.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
