Scope of Position

The Operations Manager oversees the manufacturing plant's daily operations, leadership, and management. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is critical in ensuring employee safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safety culture across the plant.
  • Oversee production processes to ensure high-quality standards and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, cost control, and budget adherence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize workflow and plant performance.
  • Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure reliable equipment and facility operations.
  • Collaborate with inventory and materials management teams to align production needs with supply chain efficiency.
  • Support capital planning projects and oversee successful implementation.
  • Provide clear communication of expectations, directives, and performance goals to staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production and operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in operations strategy, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, materials management, quality control, and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions and exercise strong judgment under pressure.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and highly analytical with the ability to develop creative and practical solutions.
  • Track record of accountability and success in plant or operations leadership roles.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
