Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Key job responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Kanban systems to ensure material availability for production operations
- Hire, support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce, promoting a culture of inclusion, innovation and performance
- Oversee daily execution of material replenishment operations with a focus on safety and quality
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through Kanban system management
- Implement and improve pull systems for production material flow
- Gather, trend and report Kanban metrics/KPIs to promote improvement initiatives
- Drive efficiency through process improvements and root cause analysis
- Manage team goals and critical metrics to ensure business success
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
- Conduct employee reviews, hiring, and disciplinary functions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for material management systems
- Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of direct management experience
- Experience with Kanban systems and inventory management
- 1+ years of ERP experience, especially in SAP
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective coaching and mentoring skills
