The Risk Management department has an opening for a full-time Contracts Attorney at our Kaliste Saloom location in Lafayette, LA.
The selected candidate will engage directly with EVPs, VPs, RVPs, the BDC/CRS group, and company-wide department leadership to provide support for all contract needs within our service area. This includes maintaining all contract templates, constructing specialty contracts, managing the review and signing process, tracking, and professional interaction with internal and external customers.
The Contracts Attorney will also work alongside the General Counsel and Legal Team Associates, manage and support the Contracts Team, and serve as System Administrator for CLM (Apttus). This role involves creating contract flow records and processes for departments that access contract information through the CLM, and acting as the System Administrator for DocuSign.

Contract Lifecyle Management (CLM) Administrator
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams, coordinate committees to address contract needs, for configuration, and customization for specific contract types.
- Develop and maintain workflow processes, training materials and support for CLM users.
- Assign and maintain user licenses.
- Develop workflows for multiple agreement record types in CLM.
- Develop and maintain training for users.
- Maintain Testing and Live CLM Environments.
- Review CLM related software contracts, monthly or annual billing, obtain approvals and submit for payment processing.
- Develop custom reports or dashboards as needed or requested for CLM users.
- Annual CLM updates (template or rate adjustments) for specific record types.
- Third Party Vendor Programming:
- Coordinate programming requests of CLM related tasks.
- Conduct bi-weekly meetings with Vendor.
- Assign and maintain licenses.
- Develop and maintain CBTs for users.
- Draft and maintain contract templates.
- Develop and maintain review process of multiple types of agreements.
- Develop and maintain organization of files for Contracts and Legal team.
- Develop and maintain listing of department/division reviewers and authorized signatories.
- Review, interpret, and redline contracts based on specific need/requests.
- Draft specialty contracts as requested.
- Work with external customers via email, zoom or google meets, to address contract reviews.
- Communicate with internal team as needed or requested.
- Develop, train and maintain workflow processes for team.
- Annual performance reviews.
- Review/approve time sheets biweekly.
- Manage and support team.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Juris Doctorate degree required
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in reviewing contracts.
- Salesforce CRM or Conga CLM knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing guidelines preferred.
- Supply Chain Management knowledge preferred.
- Proficient computer skills in MSO, Google and Adobe Office Products.
- Attention to detail; Problem-solving abilities; Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and work independently; Possess strong organizational skills.
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality.
