JOB PURPOSE: The Program Manager will ensure that day-to-day services meet the program's standards and objectives, provide clinical consultation and staff training, and develop and implement evidence-based treatments. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field, along with BCBA or BCBA-D certification and extensive experience with children ages 3 to 15 on the autism spectrum.
Primary job responsibilities include daily supervision and training of assigned staff and daily oversight of each client's treatment program. The BCBA develops individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs for each assigned client based on behavioral assessment and individualized data and family input. The BCBA conducts the initial implementation of the programs, reviews data frequently, modifies programs as necessary to maximize progress, and monitors treatment integrity. The BCBA provides direct one on one and small group treatment using ABA procedures for children with a diagnosis of Autism and/or Intellectual Disability who display aggressive, disruptive, non-compliant, and/or self-injurious behavior. Training consists of skill acquisition for self-help skills, pre-academic skills, social skills, communication skills, vocational skills, and basic attending skills. The BCBA ensures standardized preference assessments, functional analyses, and skill assessments are conducted in a timely manner. The BCBA conducts direct observations, collects data, summarizes data, and documents training progress. Work is often observed by parents, teachers, and other staff. The BCBA provides supervision of all direct care staff including Registered Behavior Technicians in compliance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The BCBA is responsible to keep up with the literature of ABA and Autism treatment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education in psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field. Documented graduate-level coursework in behavioral assessment and intervention, selecting outcomes and strategies, behavior change procedures, experimental methods, and measuring and interpreting behavioral data. At least one year of experience in providing services to children ages 3-15 with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. Knowledge of typical child development for children ages 3-15. Must hold Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) certification. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to manage and lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices, including behavior assessment, intervention design, and data analysis.
- Strong experience in developing and implementing evidence-based programs, tailored to the needs of individual children with ASD.
- Proficient in developing and delivering training programs to staff and parents, ensuring they are equipped to support children's development effectively.
- Skilled in analyzing child outcome data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and adjust programs as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for providing clear, concise feedback to families, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to identify challenges within the program or individual cases and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements related to providing services to children with autism, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with those standards.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple aspects of the program, including staff management, training, and documentation.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal standards for client records and communication.
- Comfort with office equipment (e.g., phone systems, fax, copier) and software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, EHR).
- May be required to interact with other consumers, referral sources, outside agencies, and family members to determine needs and actions to be taken.
- Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state.
- Liability insurance required if employee would operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
- Must complete all training requirements in month in which they are due.
- May be required to provide on-call duties.
- Availability of a personal vehicle for business use may be required.
- Work may take place within clinic-office or community settings (schools, nursing homes, emergency rooms, clients' residences, shelters etc.) and may interactions with agitated or disruptive individuals.
- May be responsible for providing group services and/or crisis services as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
- Ability to input data into computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, produce reports.
- Must be physically able to perform all job requirements that may include home visits, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and standing or sitting for long periods of time if required.
- Position may require flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Adhere to professional dress and appearance standards consistent with the position and daily workplace needs.
- Manages the activities of the program staff in accordance with Center operating guidelines
- Conducts investigations into violations of Center/Unit and other policies and procedures by assigned employees in accordance with Center guidelines.
- Maintains program and consumer records in accordance with all applicable standards.
- Develops and recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations for review and approval by management and monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor staff documentation on a regular basis to assure accuracy and timeliness of data entry and ensures that progress notes are submitted within 48 hours with 95% program compliance and provides appropriate corrective counseling when problems are found.
- Oversee the overall quality of day-to-day service delivery, ensuring that interventions are implemented accurately and are aligned with the program's goals and best practices.
- Provide ongoing clinical consultation to staff to ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, address challenges, and promote professional growth.
- Participate in decisions regarding the admission and/or discharge of individual children to and from the program, considering their needs, progress, and treatment goals.
- Conduct regular reviews of all behavioral intervention plans and procedures to ensure they are effective, appropriate, and evidence-based.
- Create, implement, and update staff and parent training curricula, ensuring that training programs are comprehensive and aligned with program objectives.
- Provide training to staff on behavior management techniques, individualized treatment plans, and other relevant areas of development.
- Lead training sessions for parents and caregivers, ensuring they understand how to implement behavioral strategies and support their child's development effectively at home.
- Develop, implement, and supervise evidence-based behavioral services that are tailored to the individual needs of children in the program.
- Summarize and review child outcome data to guide future program development and treatment planning. Use data to make informed decisions regarding program adjustments.
- Regularly provide feedback to families regarding their child's progress, challenges, and recommendations for ongoing support.
- Ensure compliance with all notice and reporting requirements under contract. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory bodies.
- Perform administrative and other management duties consistent with this job title that are in direct supervision of the program, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and program development.
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned that support the continued growth and success of the program.
