We are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Longo Used Cars Detailer is responsible for cleaning and refurnishing new and pre-owned vehicles.

The Used Cars Flat Rate Detailer Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $16.50/Hour or flag rate of $14.50-$16.00.

• This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

• Performs variety of vehicle cleaning tasks such as (but not limited to) washing, polishing, buffing, interior cleaning, and window cleaning.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devises.
• Applies revitalizers and preservative agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals.
• Cleans engine and engine departments with stem cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Inspects quality of work performed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body equipment when using products that require protection.
• Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reaches production objectives set by management.
• Assists in all other areas of the Department, as needed.
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
• Report for work at assigned time to provide the level of service the Company’s guest expect and deserve.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of six (6) months experience as a washer, detailer, or related field.
• Knowledge of automotive maintenance, desired.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; pay attention to detail; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
• Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
