Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Quotations team’s execution of ongoing project proposals by reviewing technical specifications, schematics, and commercial documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive summaries to lead the Quotations team towards commercial and technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Supplement Sales proposals by creating/modifying content aligned with Kratos Engineering quality and formatting standards, such as drawings, submittals, etc.
  • Review orders to verify that concise and technically sound Sales assets are turned over to Engineering and Project Management departments.
  • Support Engineering team by investigating and closing RFIs as they arise through the submittal and approval cycles of a project.
  • Provide feedback to Sales leadership that informs opportunities for continuous improvement, training, and estimating performance.
  • Assist Principal Applications Engineer with execution of strategic, training, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Generate complete and accurate proposals assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Exemplify Kratos tenets of CODE ORANGE.

Qualifications / Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering. Preferred Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 0-2 years combined experience in manufacturing, project management, and/or estimating.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient with 2D AutoCAD software.
  • Familiar with AI-powered productivity tools (such as ChatGPT) and a drive to apply them to improve workflows and team performance.
  • Industrial experience manufacturing electrical equipment is a plus.
  • Understanding of electrical and manufacturing concepts and their applications
