SUMMARY: The Financial Systems Analyst assists in the day-to-day operations, user support and development of the software system used and managed by the Finance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

  • Supports Financial Incentive, Budget / Forecast, Pipeline, Loan Pricing and HR Requisition processes (Some non-standard hours may apply seasonally).
  • Provides customer service for a wide variety of business efficiency tools.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy within Financial Planning applications. Develops and implements the necessary operational controls.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate generation of all reporting, ensuring consistency and standardization amongst the various types of reports and databases.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of Planning and Incentives to be able to identify initiatives that add value to recurring reporting needs and processes. Also improves capability to execute ad hoc reporting.
  • Manages data sources and structure of Financial Planning applications (chart of accounts, organizational structure, product structure, etc.).
  • Assists in the administration of the Incentive process.
  • Trains users in aspects of new software.
  • Works with other departments, including Information Technology, to review business and system requirements, processes and/or systems design, plans for build, test and post-implementation to ensure successful implementation and execution for the Finance Teams.
  • Supports Financial Planning users over a wide-range of technology initiatives.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field required.

Experience

  • 1 - 3 years business or system experience required.
  • Banking or other financial service industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in working with relational databases (Hyperion, Oracle, MS-SQL).
  • Must be a highly motivated team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to details, multi-tasking abilities and team oriented.
  • Must have advanced Excel skills, the ability to communicate with both business users and technical developers and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proficiency with standard reporting or BI tools, such as Axiom Software, OBIEE (highly preferred), SQL, Hyperion, Cognos, Essbase, Crystal Reports, etc.
