We are currently recruiting for a Staff UX Designer, 6 month contract.

What You Will Do In The Position

  • Conducts interviews and working sessions with QSR staff and stakeholders.
  • Observes and documents current workflows and pain points.
  • Creates interactive prototypes for feedback and validation.
  • Facilitates workshops to prioritize features and improvements.
  • Defines user stories and use cases aligned with contractual milestones.

  • Collaborates with engineering to understand system architecture and constraints.
  • Maps existing components and assess integration feasibility.
  • Documents interoperability requirements and identifies gaps.
  • Defines navigation flows and screen/hardware relationships.
  • Develops personas and user scenarios across diverse roles (e.g., order takers, kitchen staff, managers).
  • Designs wireframes and workflow diagrams focused on clarity and efficiency.
  • Applies best practices in accessibility, ergonomics, and human-computer interaction.
  • Identifies UX risks and edge cases with mitigation strategies.
  • Defines integration points for assembling the system from existing components.
  • Refines prototypes iteratively based on usability testing and user feedback.
  • Delivers comprehensive design documentation and user guides.
  • Creates training materials and conducts knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Recommends design-specific initiatives and epics to the product team.

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • 8+ years of UX design experience, preferably in enterprise or operational systems
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user research, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Experience with human centered design and workflow optimization
  • Familiarity with QSR environments is a plus
  • Proficiency in product and design tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Sketch, Aha!, Jira, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluent in English is required

The posted pay range, $59.57 - $79.42 per hour, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
