Project Manager Position

Job Duties

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise daily janitorial operations, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed

according to contract scope and client expectations.

  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, shift assignments, and work orders.
  • Monitor facilities for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance.
  • Organize and cover events at the site.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

Team Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate janitorial staff.
  • Assign duties, set performance expectations, and provide regular feedback.
  • Conduct staff meetings to reinforce policies, safety procedures, and best

practices.

  • Handle employee relations issues such as attendance, performance, and

disciplinary actions.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain MSDS/SDS documentation and ensure staff are trained in proper

chemical use.

  • Develop and enforce quality control checklists and audit processes.

Customer & Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility management and clients

regarding janitorial services.

  • Address and resolve client concerns or special requests promptly.
  • Conduct walkthroughs with clients to review service satisfaction.

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Order and maintain janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Track usage to prevent shortages and reduce waste.
  • Schedule maintenance and repairs for cleaning equipment.

Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and manage schedules, timesheets, and payroll submissions.
  • Manage client work order portals and submit proposals
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, supply usage, and staff performance.
  • Assist with budget preparation and cost control measures.
  • Generate reports on productivity, quality, and incident logs.

Safety & Training

  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure all staff follow proper PPE and safety guidelines.
  • Implement emergency response protocols (spill clean-up, biohazard handling,

etc.).

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on new cleaning technologies and methods.
  • Recommend updates to cleaning procedures, products, or equipment.

This position reports to Alicia Ochoa.
