Position Summary
The Contracts Analyst is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of existing contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role will review, standardize, and organize current agreements, coordinate with finance to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and monitor contract status, expirations, and renewals. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, advanced organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities to ensure contracts are accurate, enforceable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Review & Standardization
- Audit and organize all active and archived contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Standardize terms, language, and formats to align with company standards and legal requirements.
- Identify inconsistencies or outdated terms and recommend updates.
- Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with HBM policy.
- Oversee the preparation and revision of contracts that involve the purchase of sale of goods and services.
- Oversee proposal planning and administration of contracts.
- Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets with recommendations to the Executive Committee.
- Ensure that projects and/or contractors are in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and OSHA, State and Federal government regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of contract obligations and monitor adherence by all parties.
- Escalate potential compliance risks to leadership promptly.
- Work closely with finance to confirm contract terms align with pricing, profit margins, and payment schedules.
- Flag terms that may impact profitability or introduce unnecessary risk.
- Assist with forecasting based on active and renewing agreements.
- Maintain a centralized, up-to-date contract management system.
- Track expiration dates and initiate renewal processes in advance.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to negotiate updated terms as needed.
- Implement best practices for contract storage, tracking, and compliance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for contract management.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, legal operations, or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of contract language, compliance requirements, and risk management.
- Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Experience in government or regulated industry contracts.
- Knowledge of finance principles related to contracts.
- Familiarity with DocuSign, or other workflow automation tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
