Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, vision, and lifecycle management for FlightWave’s portfolio of UAS products. This role is accountable for ensuring our aircraft systems, supporting technologies, and ecosystem services work together as cohesive, mission-ready solutions. You will partner across engineering, design, operations, and customer-facing teams to define the future of our products, from concept to sustainment.

You will partner across engineering, design, operations, and customer-facing teams to define the future of our products, from concept to sustainment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Own the overall product strategy and roadmap for FlightWave's UAS portfolio, ensuring alignment with company vision and customer mission needs.
- Drive portfolio-level prioritization of new products, enhancements, and retirements to maximize customer value and business impact.
- Engage directly with customers, end-users, and stakeholders to uncover mission-critical needs and shape product direction.
- Translate insights, market trends, and operational concepts (CONOPS) into actionable product requirements and multi-year roadmaps.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, operations, and business development to execute product strategy.
- Ensure seamless integration across hardware, software, payloads, ground systems, and operator experience.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle: concept, development, launch, fielding, sustainment, and eventual sunset.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success to drive adoption, deliver mission outcomes, and maintain strong market positioning.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and adjacent technology sectors to inform long-term strategy and innovation opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, MBA, Robotics, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of proven success in defining and delivering complex, integrated hardware-software products.
- Strong background in product management across the full lifecycle (strategy, development, launch, sustainment).
- Technical fluency in aerospace, robotics, or defense technology domains.
- Experience engaging with defense, government, or enterprise customers to capture requirements and deliver mission-critical solutions.
- Proven ability to align cross-functional teams around a unified roadmap.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferred..
- Experience in low- to mid-volume production of electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with drone/UAV product assembly or small aerospace platforms.
- Experience supporting product ramps and new production line setups.
- Background in production planning or manufacturing engineering a plus.
- Experience managing product portfolios in defense or aerospace programs, including government program lifecycles.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NDAA, Blue UAS) and export controls (ITAR, EAR).
- Demonstrated success in driving user research and operator-centered product design.
- MBA or advanced degree in engineering or business-related field.
