Finance Specialist

SUMMARY
The Finance Specialist supports variety of Treasury Services, including, but not limited to Western Union Financial Transactions, Secured Logistics, Lottery, Check Cashing, Collections, and Third-Party Cash Services. Develops deep understanding of Treasury Services and effectively manages routine, periodic, and ad hoc activities. Delivers dynamic data analysis and reporting that lead to action. Demonstrates initiative to identify process improvement opportunities. Participates in the design and implementation of Treasury processes, policies, and training initiatives. Acts as a liaison between internal and external contacts to ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and applicable laws and regulations. Adheres to all Golub policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal guidelines. Ensures excellent customer service is delivered at all times. Maintains customer confidentiality. Displays leadership, composure under pressure, and ability to maintain positive relations and effectively communicate with all contacts, customers, and co-workers. Continually promotes and provides coaching and counseling on Treasury policies and best practices to all Northeast Shared Services teammates as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare reporting, reconciliations, flux analysis, and budgeting/forecasting for all applicable Treasury Services.
Present findings in a clear, actionable format on a period basis.
Manage irregularities, policy violations, and risky practices through timely, effective communication and collaboration with the team.
Assist with third-party audits, trainings, and periodic trade partner meetings.
Provide store support for all ATM, Coinstar, Check Cashing, Lottery, Money Orders (MO) and Money Transfers (MT) operations daily.
Support shared inboxes (e.g. lottery, MO/MT) and the phone line.
Support all projects, related to the Treasury Services areas, including stores opening and closing, remodels, relocations, equipment upgrades and changes, among other things.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a 4-year degree.
2 years supervisory experience preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong data compilation and analysis skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive approach, inquisitiveness, and willingness to accept new projects and responsibilities.
