The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is a vital member of the Continuous Improvement Team, responsible for driving and supporting a culture of continuous improvement that is aligned with the organizational goals. Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the CI Coordinator will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, plan and execute process improvement initiatives and employee engagement opportunities. This position requires an understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and train others on process improvement concepts.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 1-2 years working in a lean process

Travel: 10-25% based on company need

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strive to become a technical expert in Lean Manufacturing tools and principles including 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Kaizen, A3, Root Cause Analysis and Mistake Proofing.
  • Participate in the development of the CI Plan to develop and promote a Continuous Improvement culture within Excellerate.
  • Support the CI Team and all Excellerate-wide Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Work with all facilities and departments to identify and quantify potential opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Work with all Excellerate facilities to share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Assist in Kaizen events and follow up on action items.
  • Develop education materials to deploy throughout the organization to train the organization in Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Provide coaching through hands-on facilitation and demonstration of the use of Lean tools.
  • Monitor and measure the progress of process improvement initiatives, track key metrics, and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Build trust within an organization through direct engagement, problem solving, and building relationships.
  • Support Excellerate Process Development activities through facilitation of Process Flow and Process Mapping activities and act as a mentor to train.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
